House work is a responsibility of each and every member of a "House". In this case, whoever is living in a house should take care of the betterment of that house.
Our Indian Society always represents itself as a gender biased system. Where a man will get recognition for his works, but a woman will never get the acknowledgement for her utter dedications and sacrifices.
Society makes us respect the father figure portraying him as an ideal one to follow because he is the earning member. But a mother's activities seem to be something "normal", "usual" except on the Mothers' Day. One day recognition is never enough for the never ending humiliation!
In a century where we are fighting together to protect ourselves from the Corona Virus, we are constantly getting the news of domestic violence! House itself becomes a place of crime!
Kerala High Court claims that "making daughter-in- law do house work not unusual"! Yes, this is truly not unusual! But if the daughter-in- law or the mother- in-law is solely doing the household works then it is really painful and stigmatic for this century.
House is our comfort zone where we can breathe with much freedom. House should not become a battlefield on the basis of household works that should be distributed equally among all the members living in that house.
